Aimee is five stars. The facility took great care of my dad, and we’re good-natured about everything. They were also helpful in transitioning my dad to a new place to live. I would highly recommend this place even if it’s just temporary
My honest review of San Bruno Skilled Nursing. My mom recently completed a rehab stay (3 months) at San Bruno Skilled Nursing Facility, and we are very grateful for the care she received during a critical stage of her recovery. When she arrived, she had significant challenges following a traumatic brain injury, including aphasia, difficulty swallowing, and limited mobility. During her time there, we saw meaningful progress. She went from needing a PEG tube to eating regular food again, regained strength in her speech, and progressed to walking without assistance and even managing stairs. These were huge milestones for our family. The rehabilitation team — physical therapy, occupational therapy, and especially speech therapy — played a major role in this progress. Their consistency and expertise truly made a difference. We are especially thankful for the therapists who pushed her while also being patient and encouraging. We also encountered many compassionate staff members who treated her with kindness and respect, which meant a lot to us. That said, there were times when we experienced a few hiccups. We experienced occasional delays in response times, and situations where basic care needs could have been handled more promptly. I did bring this up to they management team and concerns were quick addressed. I share that feedback honestly, but also with understanding, because we could see how hard many of the caregivers were working. Overall, we are thankful for the role San Bruno Skilled Nursing Facility played in my mom’s recovery — especially the strength of the rehab team. They helped her make real, meaningful progress, and for that we are very grateful.
My 90-year-old mom spent her final 10.5 weeks at this facility. The staff consistently showed kindness, warmth, and compassion—it truly made a difference during a very difficult time. As a nurse, I had high expectations for her care. The nursing team was open to feedback and followed through on what they promised, which I deeply appreciated. The physical therapy team worked diligently with all the residents. A special shoutout to Leo for helping my mom walk again after her hospitalization—that meant so much to us. The facility is also very clean—noticeably different from others nearby. I’m deeply grateful to Andrew, Leo, Sauwi, Ruth, Natalie, Christina, Arthur, Vangie, Marcel, and Ryan. Your care, compassion, and respect gave my mom dignity and brought comfort to our family. That is something I will always carry with me.
My wife had broke her Femur twice. I chose this place for the reputation of their therapy and rehabilitation training. So far it’s been a good facility, but this post really is pertaining to I believe is the director , Daniela She has been so accommodating for personally helping my wife’s needs! I have talked to her several times and she’s always very patient and understanding for my request! I commend her empathy and kindness, but most of all her understanding of my situation. I feel for my wife and her accident of breaking her leg, twice! As all centers things get hectic at times, but it always supports our needs and situation. Thank you so much for being such a considerate center. Once more, Daniela is a great asset for this nursing center. Thank you, Paul Conway

my mother stayed at this nursing facility for a little over a month, and overall our experience had both strong positives, and also a few areas that need improvement. the facility itself is clean and well-maintained, which gave us peace of mind throughout her stay. staff there care. the regular, nurses such as Arturo, Marcella, and assistants Curt, Ryan, Brandon and others made a significant difference. they were attentive to my mother’s needs. i also noticed the level of care they provided other residents. in addition, Liza and Maggie from the activities team were truly exceptional. they consistently went above and beyond to keep my mother engaged, entertained, and emotionally supported. their presence made a noticeable difference not just for her, but for other residents as well. i would definitely recommend them to any facility looking to lift the morale of their residents and overall facility. i also want to recognize the therapy team. Evan and the rest of the therapists were phenomenal: professional, attentive, and truly invested in my mother’s progress. their support made a significant impact on her recovery, and we’re very grateful for their care. another strong point is the flexibility with visiting hours. this made it much easier for our family to spend quality time together, and i highly recommend families take advantage of that, as it really matters for the resident’s well-being. there were a few areas of concern: response times to call lights can be slow at times, which may be concerning depending on the urgency of the resident’s needs. the food provided does not feel aligned with optimal health or recovery, and this is an area that could definitely benefit from improvement. additionally, due to ongoing remodeling, there is currently limited access to outdoor spaces, which can impact residents who benefit from fresh air and time outside. overall: there are some genuinely caring staff members here who make a positive impact. there are also operational areas, particularly in responsiveness and nutrition, that could be improved to better support resident care and overall well-being.
They took such amazing care of my mom. The entire staff was so kind and so helpful on the day to day care for her. She even made a few friends with some of the CNAs. She received rehab for a little over a month for a weak leg and hip issue. She did great. The entire therapy team is awesome. The administration staff was always available for questions and super helpful. I’m so thankful. They honestly helped our family through a very rough time. I really appreciate each and every one of them
I go to San Bruno Skilled Nursing almost every week as a vendor and know that this facility is clean, and has amazing and hardworking staff. They always have a front desk staff who is friendly. Special shout out to Director of Nursing Jesse she’s not only helpful but also knowledgeable and highly trained at what she does. Highly recommend this place!
Thank you for taking care of my father who stay there for 2 months. Super friendly and always welcoming with big smile and helping my father. Nice, clean and safe place for recovery area. Amazing support and always there to support and help whenever, whatever you need it. Thank u thank u.
Best Skilled nursing home in the Bay Area! The staff is amazing, my Mom was there during Covid for approx 6-8 weeks, again Dec 2025 for 4 weeks. Place is well maintained, clean and efficient staff. Will always recommend the facility to anyone. Keep up the amazing work.
My mom stayed at SBSN twice! Once for a broken hip, and again for a broken neck. She loved the staff so much, she didn’t want to leave. She especially liked the therapy provided daily. She felt like it was a family.
I am writing to express my deepest gratitude for the outstanding dedication and genuine care the skilled nursing team has shown towards my mother, who is one of the residents at this facility. The warmth, compassion, and continous support she receives from the team have been truly remarkable. The transition from the hospital to San Bruno Skilled Nursing Facility was incredibly smooth, and this was due to the warm welcome we received from their Business Developement Manager; Daniela Ray Go and Business Office Manager, Veronica Mason. Daniela and Veronica helped us get situated comfortably and provided us with all the necessary information, making the process much easier for our family, especially during this difficult time. The DON and nurses at this facility are exceptional in providing the utmost care and empathy for their patients. The accomodation and understanding of our mother’s requests are very much appreciated. It is such a relief to know that my mother is being taken care of by amazing nurses, cnas, therapists, doctors and business office team who treat her not just a patient, but as part of their family. Kind, attentive, and dedicated staff who go the extra mile gives my siblings and I the certainty that our mother is in a nursing home that truly cares. A special shout-out to an incredible individual who have truly gone above and beyond in her role as the Director of Nursing – Jesse Anne Balingit. Your dedication and compassion allow us to continue to find hope and courage in our journey for our mother’s healing.
I spent approximately six weeks in San Bruno skilled nursing facility, majority of employees were very nice, however I have diabetes and I was able to keep it under control before my visit, they have their own kitchen facilities there but they don’t seem to be able to or want to accommodate diabetic patients. The food is ok at best but it is in no way safe or suitable for diabetics, rice, pasta and breaded meats are served way too much for a diabetic, some meals all of the three courses of a meal were rice, pasta with a breaded meat of some kind. I got sick in there, short of breath , fatigue and feeling down my diabetic numbers shot through the roof there, very high 300 plus multiple times might have hit the four hundreds on an occasion or so, they keep giving me insulin for this and now that I’ve been home for about five weeks or so theses conditions seem to be lingering on and my diabetes numbers are off the charts while I am eating healthy , healthier than I eat before I went in there. Don’t know where this is going to take me but what I’m hearing so far is that my diet will more than likely be more restrictive than it was before I went in there. For this reason I would not advise this place to anyone especially for diabetics.
San Bruno Skilled Nursing has been absolutely wonderful in caring for my loved one. From the moment we arrived, the staff showed genuine compassion, professionalism, and warmth. A special thank you to Jessie, the Director, whose leadership and dedication are evident in every part of the facility. She goes above and beyond to ensure that residents receive not just excellent medical care, but also respect and dignity. I also want to express my deep appreciation for Aimee, the Social Worker. She has been incredibly supportive, kind, and communicative, always taking the time to listen and help families navigate every step of the process. Her compassion makes such a difference. The entire team at San Bruno Skilled Nursing deserves recognition for creating a caring and positive environment. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone looking for quality skilled nursing care.
My mom was there for about a month, she is very happy with all the staff and personal. She never expected to have a good relationship with everyone 😊
My wife stayed in this facility over a month; I’d like to thank everyone, I mean everyone working in this facility. It would be unfair to name just one department here since my wife was assisted by all departments at one time or another. Everyone was very caring and available for my wife when needed, they all work very hard to make sure the patients are comfortable and attended to. The only thing I would like for the facility to do, is to add a recreation room so the patients could really enjoy the variety of activities that are provided for them; it’s a great service, and it makes it difficult for the organizers when the activity is performed outdoors and the weather changes suddenly and the patients have to all be moved inside the facility hallways to complete the entertainment provided. Please build a recreation room for the very much needed activities like bingo, music, socializing, etc… I recommend this facility; if you or a loved one ever need caring for this is the right place to go. Thank you all!
I stay here now and the staff take good care of me. They are very nice and caring. Always asking me if I need help, even when I just want company. Sometimes they sit and chat with me while I watch TV, or help me get to bed without rushing. They are sweet people. It feels good to be cared for like this.
My father has been staying at San Bruno Skilled Nursing for a few months, and the staff truly treat him with respect. They always keep us updated, which gives our family peace of mind. The rooms are comfortable and tidy, though I wish the TV channels had more variety. Once or twice there was a short wait when he rang for help, but the staff were quick to apologize. Despite little things, the care and kindness here stand out.
San Bruno Skilled Nursing has been a blessing for my grandmother. The nurses are patient and gentle, and the place is kept very clean. She gets the attention she needs, even if sometimes it takes a few extra minutes when they’re busy. Meals are decent — she especially likes the soups, though one or two dishes weren’t her favorite. Overall, we feel relieved knowing she’s well cared for.
This is a very family oriented facility, motivating family and residents to participate in the improvement of the residents. Strength of this facility is customized care of their residents, they go beyond the call of duty just to make sure the results are seen. A five star rating 2025 they deserve it and maintain high quality standard of care. I highly recommend this place.
The people from San Bruno Skilled Nursing from the doctors, therapists, case managers, nurses, coordinators, cna’s, custodians, everyone, has been so kind, helpful and caring was my dad was with them for over a month. The facility is always clean and well-maintained. I cannot recommend this place enough and was happy that my dad got placed here.
My mother has been here going on 3 weeks and I’m very happy she’s in good hands. She also feels the same way. It is a bit crowded with sometimes 3 beds per room, but the important thing is the care. Ruby, Lisa and Norma are amazing people. Extremely loving and helpful. The activity director is also very pleasant. They all work together and get along. It could use some renovation, but it’s always clean. I understand that rehab centers are not always a great place to be in, but I’m glad we picked this one. It’s not necessarily a peace and quiet place, but I feel they do a good job overall. Also the food is always a pleasant surprise with a good variety.
